I am about to( within the next couple of days ) purchase a 2000 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. A Black one.
I'm really looking forward to being a member of this forum as I have much to learn about the platform. I'm curious to where most of the members are from? Europe or United States.

I'm looking into making around 190hp for the first couple of years of owning this car. I was just wondering what ways some of you went about achieving that, and what suggestions you have.

Thanks,
-Ilia

Welcome to the forum.

Most members are from the UK as far as I can tell /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If you start out with a 1.8T Quattro I would assume it is a 150BHP version. With a Chip you should see around 200Bhp but then Torque is the important bit, you will get around 240lns/ft. All this for around £500. About as good as it gets.

WanganDreams find out what HP it is as there are different models.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I believe that US 1.8T Quattro comes stock with 150bhp.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif not a problem.

Bigger turbos are going in this summer.

For now I think chip would have to do.

Welcome to the forum! I am the minority here, the few that are from the states...

I have the same car you are looking to purchase, check my upgrades, the best purchase by far is the chip!

Hey k212,

I'm going to Chicago over the upcoming weekend - IN MY NEW CAR!

Where did you purchase and your chip and how was the install.
