The gearbox in my A4 has become noisy and has been leaking oil (the 2 are linked I think! :-( ) so I have acquired a low-mileage gearbox that the local garage (VW/Audi/Merc/BMW specialists) that I use will fit for me in a few weeks time....
Now, as my car has covered 193K on the original clutch it seemed to make sense to fit a new clutch whilst they were swapping boxes over....
The garage want to fit a new dual-mass flywheel at the same time as a matter of course, something which I'm reluctant to do if it doesn't really need doing, hence this post?
The clutch has always been a bit juddery on my car at low speeds, reversing etc, but hasn't got any worse really in the 5 years and 80k miles that I've had it.
I intend to keep the car for another few years as I love it so much , so what do you guys reckon, replace the whole lot or wait and see what they discover when the old clutch is removed?
Would be grateful for any advice, thanks!

Its wise to replace clutch and flywheel at the same time...

tell them you want to see the flywheel to see if its loose. i can tell you now it will be. when my clutch goes im going to get a solid flywheel kit they are a far better job. its beyond me why they started making those stupid flywheels anyway. but then again its another part that can wear out so more money for them..
