B5/B6 BRAKES

Morning gents. Bought my mrs a 2002 a4 avant 3.0 quattro a few weeks back (B6 PLATFORM). The brakes are suprisingly good on them! I have checked and all the components are OE and not supped up aftermarket parts. I know that the B6 uses 312mm discs opposed to the B5's 288mm but are the B6 calipers different (bigger/reworked? etc...). I had 312mm setup on my b5 and the braking was nowhere near as good! And that was with newish brake parts too.

Calipers are more or less the same.

Perhaps the Servo/Master Cyl is different, so your getting more braking force for the same pedal effort?

Yeah that sounds about right to me. Looking at them they dont appear any bigger than the B5 setup, but jeez there is a difference!
