does anyone know are the caliper carriers the same on an s3 as a tt

Did this mod about 4 years ago (?) as the standard pads/discs needed replacing anyway.
I actually used new discs, listed as fitting the A6 at Euro, but they must be the same as the B6 A4.

guessing you mean carriers with original calipers?
bought some s3 calipers/carriers on ebay as i couldnt find tt ones so was hoping they are the same but id like to use the s3 calipers if i can as my tdi has 200k + so everythings a bit worn

I'd check very carefully before using the S3 calipers, as they probably have different size pistons.
A4's use a 57mm piston, but the TT ones are 54mm, which would probably completely negate any advantage fitting the larger disk and could quite easily make the braking worse.
Then disks you need are fitted to later A6's and B6 A4's with big engines.

I didn't bother to look into caliper sizes as I was just after a simple mod, needed new bits anyway and my B6 came with 312mms from the factory.
