Well went on a small road trip last nite from Glasgow to Redcar, stayed overnight and returned with these new seats. They are from RS breed but not Audi RS4, originally from an RS Turbo Escort. I personally prefer the look and design of these over the RS4 Recaros, they are more supportive and have always loved them since i had an S2 years ago. I also like to do things different from the norm and these caught my eye.

The seats are very solid, no saggy bolsters etc as previous owner had them rebuilt when they were in for the re-trimming. Its half leather and centres are alcantara. They are still new as they were never fitted after the work carried out. The quality is immense, with extra red stitching around the frame of the seats.

Obviously they will require some fabrication to fit, but i'll update with any findings and mods required.

I'll let the pics do the rest now...:salute:

Someone on Audisrs forum have been designing Recaro subframes that bolt on for the B5, maybe they will do the job

what you gonna do for the rears?

Cheers guys. Chuffed to say the least, and really are better in person than photo, was amazed at how better they were when i went to collect them than the pics i saw!

Car has full leather anyway so backs are as at the moment, will wait till cars on the road and maybe get it into a trimmers local to price the centres on the rear bench to match the fronts.

I was thinking along the same lines although i was intending to source full leather Sapphire cosworth versions and modify them to fit - will follow with interest

They would look awsome in my a4 as its laser red i'm jealous, does anyone know what it costs for a retrim?

almost the same as buying a new set of seats (albeit second hand ones)
cost me £150 for a new bolster to be repalced and retrimmed on some bmw seats

Yep, can be costly for a pro job, usually a pair of fronts in leather are anything from £400-£600, but is worth it if its older seats and they are re-done to as new condition

The bolster on my seat has teared slightly and i would'nt mind having them re-trimmed as above.

Any good trimmer should be able to do a very good, undetectable job for reasonable money, depending on size/where tear is. Try a local place first.

Its just worn through on the right of the drivers side bolster, its the only place the seats have worn but i guess its an area that gets alot of contact.

Exact same as mine, probably most others aswell, thats why i started looking for different seats!

Good, comfy, supportive seats. My S2 RS Turbo track car still has the Recaro's in it. Just about the only bit that is still in it mind. lol

True, sat in a few sets of Recaros and these are by far my favourite, perfect support and very comfy.

Miss my old red S2. Wots happening with the track car, is it a proper stripped out track slag or still road usable? Think you and your bro were in a Fast Ford special edition about RS Turbos years back, recognise the car in your sig???

Track car is undergoing development to crack the 300bhp barrier and hopefully set some more competetive times but it's not in a rush as I've been concentrating on my home since the split from my ex. Car is still usable on the road but not practical hence the purchase of my first Audi. And yes it was in Performance Ford with a mate in a S1 RS Turbo and they reused the feature in the RS Turbo Special Edition, was also in Fast Ford. Was gutte dthat I got talked in to selling my Fiesta RS Turbo before being featured

Watched a set the same last week fetch around £240.

Bids seem to go mad in the last hours with everything i see!
