Looking for an bosch Alternator off a 1.8 or 1.8 T engine, I've see a few on ebay with prices anything from £20 to £60.
The only thing is the commutator must be in good condition, there is a very good write-up on how to strip the unit down. Linky (I would pay for the full unit but would only want the rotor/front pully half, as it would save on postage) not woried about the bearing being shot as these would be replaced.
The commutator on my until is all but shot, as it looks like at some point the lower bush has got stuck/moved and ground down the commutator, I wanted to replace the regulator, but with the com in that state, there is not much point.
