    How heavy is an AEB?

How heavy is an AEB compared to an AHU? When I broke my old Golf I removed the engine the ghetto way. Dropped it onto a parcel trolley I got from B&Q for 15, tied it to it with some rope and wheeled it into the garden. :D

Mind you, my Golf was lowered so it was only a small drop onto the trolley. Sits a bit higher on the Audi...

Anyway, I managed it fine on the AHU. It's the crappy 1.9 TDi 90bhp lump and still had the gearbox attached.

    bout the same really.

Circa 150-170kgs i'd guess with all the cruft attached.

I certainly wouldnt recommend dropping the engine from a great height lol. If you want to though, you can probably drop the subframe, and lower the entire frame down on two jacks etc.
