Righto peeps, my new Acquisition has r/c/l and my current hack doesn't. What would I need to swipe from the donor car to make it work on mine. If it's fairly straight forward I might swap it in.

if both pumps p/n start 8L0 then swap them over your car will be missing a aerial but its easy enough to add a length of coax that will do the job

then ideally swap the locks over and if both are immo 1 it should be a case of swapping the boxs over

Cool, Where's the pump located? I guess somewhere round the back of teh car?

Offside rear boot, just behind the light cluster.

Its encased in foam.

A '98 will have integrated immo1, so you'll need to swap the speedo heads (assuming the old car also has integrated immo1, you dont say what age it is, but if its new enough to have a 8L0 pump it'll probably have integrated immo1 anyway)

Or just purchase an aftermarket Remote kit from RClick
You get 2 blank flip keys that you need to have cut. Swap the immob transponder over from the old keys to the new flip keys otherwise it will not start the car.
