Cleaning inside headlights?

Hiya
Have noticed one of my headlights is considerably more dull on the inside than the other with dust. Is it possible to clean it out somehow? I'm thinking, stip the bulbs and wiring out then half fill it with warm soapy water (washing powder?) and give it a good shaking?

Might work, they can be dismantled but its not the easiest thing to do.

You'd just have to make sure your dried them out well before refitting.

I'd be wanting to know how its full of dust in the first place!

Its more likely the actual lens thats discoloured and cloudy looking from use.
