warning beep noise but no display message

ok so my car over the last 2 days randomly beeps while driving like there should be a warning message coming up on the lcd but nothing appears! puts it through diagnoistic but nothing came up? any ideas?

its on my audi a4 estate 98

wheres the noise coming from? as the backup alarm in the boot will beep randomly when the battery is dying, but its not replaceable im afraid as the batterys are no longer available as company that made them has gone bust.

so either new one from audi for around £100 or disconnect which is what alot do including me lol.

there are ways to do possible fixes but only works aslong as acid from battery hasnt eaten the control board, which most do

yer i dont think its coming from the boot! its exactly the same noise that i get when low on petrol etc but nothing comes up on display

i get exactly this when i turn on my ignition also no indication as to what it is.
