Hi guys, after a bit of advice on a 1.9 TDI (AFN engine)

Its been down on power for a while, ran a code reader and didnt find any faults but after doing some reading disconnected the MAF. Car drove much better like this.

Seen some pretty crudded up inlet bit on threads on this forum, could it be a similar thing and the disconnected MAF is masking the problem?

Any help appreciated

Matt

if disconnecting maf made it better then its probably the fault (my own tdi did the same, new maf sorted it)

buy genuine and ask dealer for exchange price

Thanks for the reply

How do the dealer prices compare, i've seen a Pierburg for £88 (just the sensor) or a complete Bosch unit for £140

Thanks,
Matt

mine was £90 odd with £20 exchange for old unit from audi (v6 tdi) so £70 ish

you have to ask for exchange item as normal list price was alot more if i remember correctly

just dont buy ebay specials

also i would have a little look at ALL your boost/vacume lines as i found a little hole which was throwing mine into limp mode when i put the foot down.
