Aftermarket head unit!

Hi, Just tried fitting a headunit to my car, brought the correct harness but my aftermarket hu is not getting any power at all! any ideas!

What components do i need for a bose upgrade?

if you have a test light check for a live feed, on the harness you have bought are the red and yellow wires joined together?

No there not joined!

take the perminent feed from the car and plug it into both the live and switch live on the stereo. If this works then you need to run your own switch live from the steering column. or just leave it so you can turn the stereo on all the time.
