Steam coming through the vents and wet passenger footwell...HELP!!

Hi everyone, whilst driving back from aberdeen yesterday the vents started chucking out steam and coupling this to the leak in my passenger footwell, i think the heater matrix might be faulty, any ideas or replacement tips?? anythings helpful!

******, it's a dash out job to change too.

I would bypass the thing with a bit of pipe for now until you can get to it. Before the water dmages other components

Bo**ox that aint good, its 23 degrees outside too!! i managed to source one from GSF for £92.00, does that sound about right? where would i get the procedure for getting the dash out? its gonna be a sweaty summer otherwise!!

er no it wont be sweaty, all you will be doing by bypassing it is stopping the heat coming into the car, the coolness is provided by a different heat exchanger
