warning light

picked up my a4 this morning and there was nothing wrong with it at all. my dad comes round, gose for a 20 min drive and bring the car back with what i'm guessing would be the engine managment light (yellow engine symbol) on. as i don't have a owners manual, i don't know what it is.

i'm guessing this i would need to get the codes read or is this light something specific?

any info would be helpful.

your right, its the engine managemnet light, you need to get plugged it to read the fault
