I opened the roof of my a4 convertible 2004 to clean in all the hard to get at places when it moved down about a foot on its own, when i went to close it using the button it wouldn't move either open or closed so had to close it manually. i can hear the electric motors going but no movement in the roof. The roof light on dashboard flashes when i start the car and the goes off. Can anyone help please.

something in the manual about doing a reset,manually.... this resets all the position sensors and then should be fine
Got the roof done, i tried the reset but it didn't work, so took it to QR Sport in Tattenhall, Cheshire they fixed it same day, it was a faulty switch & motor. hope the weather stays now.
