brake warning

when i start my car a symbol with brake flashes on the dash and beeps 3 times.
there is a brake bulb gone could it be that.
thought it might be fluid level but thats fine,i know i could just change the bulb and see if that sorts it but that would be to easy lol.

abs sensor normally. get vag com on their and find out fo sho. if you are anywhere near reading i could give it a quick scan.

thanks for the offer mate but i live in ireland,i got a scan and there is nothing showing up bar a needle sensor in the injector pump.i put in a new bulb today and it doesn't work.thought it might be the switch on the pedal but would that mean that all the break lights wouldnt work

LEDs can induce brake alerts too...

Most likely the sensor under the brake fluid res is being triggered by an electrical spike.I fixed mine by moving the wire from the battery which was touching the sensor and charging up the battery others have gone for a new battery which seems to cure it
