Cambelt change

Hi, I have just purchased a 2.4 auto 2003 A4 Cab and wanted to know when the cambelt should be changed on it.

Ideally now. It should be done every 60-80k miles or 5 years.

I have the same car but 3.0 and same year with 55k on the clock and I'm getin mine changed next week.

I've had quotes roughy around £500, I fink 2.4 and 3.0 are the same, so expect to pay that.

I also need my cambelt changed and I called up CentralVwAudi yesterday, their prices seem very good. Maybe too good to be true in fact. I need to double check the person on the phone hasn't made a mistake.

There is also Stafford Audi main dealer who advertise on eBay for cambelt changes, for a much lower than usual main dealer price.
