My dads just got a b6 A4.. wondering if its ok to fit hids in the lights as i would assume there plastic lenses?

Could some one let me know as i dont want to break his nice shiney new toy!

thanks

The dipped beam lenses are the same for Halogen or Xenon bulbs so no problem with projecting the correct light pattern.

Do a search - you will find many references to HID conversions.
Be aware of "switch-on" interference with front crash sensors which can randomly bring up ABS/Brake warnings on DIS, some HID kits can also trigger bulb warning also.

no problems with HIDs for your a4, ive had mine fitted for a month or so now and its great.

i see you live in london area, i would recommend a place called autolights, i got mine done there and paid £110 inc cancellers and fitted and 2 years warranty.

if you interested, let me know and i give you his number.

heres a link to pics of mine:

what are these cancelers you speak of? i Fitted HIDs to my A3 and have no warning lights. Will this deffo not work with the A4 then? Where do i install these and where are they from? i done a hid search and it came up with not much at all.

Thanks.

I think some kits require cancellers, but not all.
Mine hasn't got them, but hasn't thrown anything up on the dash (yet).
