My 2002 A4 Avant 1.9 TDi 130 has developed a problem today.....I'll try to describe it as best I can.....
The car is on 114,000 miles and has FASH........
When the car is idling it sounds ok, when I am driving and accelerating, it is generally ok......but........today when I was putting the clutch in I could feel it judder and hear a scuffing noise when keeping my foot planted on the clutch....the vibrations were coming through the clutch pedal and gearstick...also a faint knocking noise as if something was spinning and clipping on something. Low revs in 5th gear it is noticeable too....
As I mentioned, it is hard to describe but under normal acceleration it sounds and feels fine....its just low revs and on idle I can hear and feel it....
Sounds as though it is clutch/gearbox/flywheel related.....any ideas?
Thanks
