think my a4 is burning oil

hey all

i think my a4 maybe burning oil as cannot see any leaks on the driveway

just wondering how much roughly will it cost to fix it ??

How do you know it's burning oil, any smoke from the exhaust, are you having to top the engine up more often?

Cant see any smoke from the exhaust, but i do need to top it up every week or so

And has that changed over the last few months/weeks?

yeah it has, before it was only once a month now it needs filling up weekly

One way to check, is to take the plug's out and check them, if they have a black coating then you are burring oil. Also check the expansion tank for any sign's of oil

ok thanks i will have a look at the plugs

the car was in the garage last week for an small water leak and they changed the coolant as well, they didnt say anything about oil in the expansion tank. didnt say anything about the oil as cant afford to get both done at the same time

been busy finally i took the coils out but i need a spark plug screw to take it out, may purchase one

thought the audis would be more reliable than my old french megane, i thought wrong another problem came up with the a4
