S4 B8 wheels on my S4 B6

I have the opportunity to buy a set of genuine Audi S4 B8 wheels for my B6 convertible. The car currently has 225 x 40 x18" tyres but the B8 wheels come with 245 x 40 x 18".

Does anyone know if the offsets are compatible B8 to B6 and if the extra width may cause any problems?

if all wheels are the same.

But thats weird cause my b6 has 235 40 18 all round.

The B8 has a centre bore of 66.6 (Mercedes Hub) and your car will have 57.1 Centre bore so you will need spigot rings to avoid unwanted wheel wobble at speed.

Don't think mine are the original wheels. Did a bit of research and the original equipment was 235x40x18

A3 18" wheels are normally 225 section tyres.
