    A4 Sport

Does anyone know how I can find out what wheels were originally fitted to my A4 Sport TDI (130) on a 51 plate 2001?

It already had 18" alloys fitted when I bought it.

    Thanks

According to Parkers, up until 2003 Sport models came with 16" Trapez style wheels, although I think the 17" five spoke wheels were a very popular upgrade from new.

I'll check the spare tonight, but if memory serves me right I think its the 16" Trapez style wheel.

Don't know why I didn't think of that in the first place !!!

    Thanks

Yep, the spare is a 16" Trapez wheel.

Glad some changed them before I bought the car, as it would of looked awful with the 16" on.

Can't understand why Audi thought the 16" Trapez wheel looked good on a car with the Votex kit

There a lovely red Votex kitted saloon near me with Trapez's, it does look somewhat underwheeled!

Hmm, mine will look pants too then as my Votex kit will be on soon and I'm running Trapez's for the winter.

Roll on the warmer weather and the 18's can go back on

I've got another A4 Sport question:-

Did the A4 Sport (130) come with the Votex kit as standard or was it an optional extra (mine is a 51 plate 2001)?

Reason for asking, is that I am in the process of renewing my insurance and on the paper work I received from my current provider it ask's the question - "Any modifications to the manufacture's original specification, E.g. Wheels, Suspension, Bodykit or Engine?"

So, if the Votex kit came as standard then I would not mention the kit, but if it was an optional extra then I need to mention it to make sure I'm covered.

    Thanks again

Who are you with and how much are you paying, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm with esure at the moment and they want 535 (that's with is bein in a locked garage, 11yrs NCB and ony 7k miles per year), which I though was a bit steep. I also have a Liverpool postcode, which doesn't help.

Thats sound more like it, I'm just slightly old than yourself (37) so you would think it would be more around the 300 mark.

Will have to check a few more out over the weekend, to see what the price I can get.

I guess it has got more to do with having a Liverpool post code.

Just found my piece of paper with my original spec which I decoded through http://igorweb.org/equidec/ web site.
Basically you feed your "optional equipment" codes in and it tells you the original factory spec.
    My wheels are code C1X = "Alloy Wheels 7.5J x 17 5-arm spider style, offset 45"

You options label is on a large paper label stuck in next to the spare wheel area and also duplicated in the front cover of your service manual.

Cheers Woorlord, good site to book mark.
Just found mine is says "C2F = Alloy wheels 7J x 16" but gives you loads of good info about your car (battery, alternator specs etc..)
    Thanks again
