    A4 TDI B6 LOWERING/WHEEL SIZE ?

My friends got himself some 19" wheels 8x19's et 35 fitted with 245 40 19 tyres,i think the tyres are too big and should realistically be fitted with 235 35 19's,anyway,thats another story.

    question is : will 245 40 19's have rubbing issues ?
how low can he lower the car without any issues?

    its a B6 2004 1.9 TDI SE
    Full leather/19"wheels/cruise/

He'll have no rubbing issues with the 235/35 and lowered at 40mm (with the 8j et35 you mentioned) but with the 245/40's there might be an issue with hard cornering or under weight. The profile must look huge with them 245/40's!
If he's keepin the 245's then lowering anymore than 20mm/30mm will most likely cause him issues.
Being an SE he will get away with more than a 40mm drop on the 235/35's because they are quite high (20mm higher than the Sport model)...

I used to run 8.5j et 35 on my red one (which was a sport so 20mm lower than SE spec) at first and they gave me 245/40 and I took them back after a week to swap for 235/35 because everytime i went over a hump or hit a slope in the road it would give a little rub at the rear arches.
