Key fob woes

im really hoping someone can help me
i only have one key with my car so i thought id look on ebay i know about getting the key cut and programed thats not a problem
its the remote part im stuck on mines a
8z0 837 231 D/2024 31/02
temic-manila 433.92 mhz

ive bought on ebay a

TEMIC (PHILS)
8Z0 837 231 D
433.92 MHz
A2/A4

for the life of me i cant get it to resync
im not sure if there is a difference with the manila or phils bit
the seller told me to resync it using 2 keys which i cant as i only have one!
he seems sound and offers full 30 day money back GTee
so i should be ok

anyone have any ideas?

Mda where are you from dont get the key cut yet you have the right frequency" mhz" technally it should work when it has been programmed in. skc code and all that! what is the age of the car?
 
its a 2002 1.8T
im in leicester

the seller told me to get it cut, use mine in the ignition
them wind the window down and use the new key in the door lock to sync the remote

If you fancy a trip to derby belive this a cobbler/shoe smith can cut it and program it in so it is reconised by the imobliser he charges £30 for the pleasure and theres no problems as long as your key is the same as the one you already have! do you have the skc code it is normally on a plastic tag barcoded with scratch card silver over it 9/10 it has been scratched off.

so your imobiliser reconises the key then how could it if it has not been cut !#6 responce tells me your doing it tommrow so could not have turned the ignition on with the new key! cut and programming should be done in one hit who is telling you to do it that way he's wrong using yours in the ignition will NOT allow the new kew to program!

so i can sync the new remote in the drivers door lock
i dont need to key itself to be programed yet to be able to driver the car
that can wait for now.
