Hi,

I've got a slight leak on the breather hose as you can see on the picture.
Has anyone changed theirs for a better quality one (silicone)? if so, where did you get it from?

any help appreciated, cheers.

I had a similar issue on my 130 1.9TDi - I believe my pipe was the "Charge pipe.."

Goes into the back of the block and if you trace it back, it's all connected to the intercooler in the n/s front bumper.

I contacted Audi, gave them a rough description of the item over the phone, and, was able to order it in to my local depot (turned out to be VW Heron..). Was a thirty minute job for me to fit it, but, all seems well so far. Was ~£18 IIRC.

Ive just checked mine and cant believe how 'baggy' it is. If I pull it with my fingers it will tear, Feels real Soft and fragile thats how weak it feels.Surely they shouldnt be this weak??

Going to get PJM to order me a new one me thinks....

Yeah J7USS i'd definitely get a new one they are awful, its only got a small hole in but I could feel some power loss. I've just taped it up for now for a temp fix and could feel the difference straight away.

I was speaking to an Audi specialist I use and he said that audi do a better quality hose now, part number is 06B 103 221A - just need to order one now. Looks easy to fit or is it?

Who's PJM??

Yeah sorted mate, PJMSPEEDY is another Forum member who gets all the bits you need.Fast and efficient and saves most of us money and having to go down and pay the stealers ....especially if you aint their favourite person :eyebrows:...

I was shocked how "gummy" the pipe was today, shocking! It was that Gummy I kinda wanted to bite it,lol....

Yeah it looks easy to fit id say!

hi guys are you talking about an a4 tdi as i cant seem to find the pip
in your photos i have an a4 tdi sport on a 52 plate and im sure it could do with a clean.

thanks dose any one know what ones i can clean on a tdi

Scouse - Have you changed your pipe yet?

I changed mine today and I was shocked how it "fell" off. I pulled it to get to one one of the clips and its snapped away...looked like a Liquorish:yum:.
...then the amount of Gunk inside the pipes and the actual blob of rubber I pulled off was shocking....looked like Caviar:puke2:

Alright J7USS.

Liquorish haha did you have a bite :)

Yeah I changed mine today, wasn't to bad fitting it those throw away clamps can be abit of a pain to get at though.

The new part does feel better quality, and the car is running nice now.

I know what you mean about the Caviar

Just got to change my brake bulb now, at least it's not as bad as changing the front ones though which I had to change the other day. Why does everything go wrong in the winter :(

haha yeah I was tempted to have a bite :)

Yours looked nothing compared to mine, bit worried now!!
Defo better quality new pipe though, feels alot tougher dont it. Had a little fight getting it on but few knuckle scrapes it went on.

Not really had a chance to drive it today - feeling a little delicate from lastnights Brandy
