Loud engine noise - CURED!!

Well, after long persistance and checking things, i finally found my annoying noise, AIRCON pump!!!

I didnt fancy spending loads of money on aircon in the winter, so got a smaller 6 ribbed belt, and by-passed the Aircon pump, job done!!

Are these quite common tho?

Also this is off topic, but my gf's A3 has ABS and ESP lights on, but we cant seem to track down the problem, checked all sensors, but still no luck!

Aircon compressor is quite a common failure on Audi's i've had 2 go 1 on my B5 and 1 on my prsent B6. Cost about £300 for the compressor and also recommend you change the drier to, plus a regas.

abs and esp lights on can mean your brake light switch isnt working,
