Alarm System

Hi,

I've just got my A4 today and have a quick question regarding the alarm system. I tried to set it by sitting in the car and moving around, it just makes the hazards flash and a a very low audible bleeping sound inside the car but nothing like an alarm system, can anyone suggest what the peoblem is or is this the alarm system???

What years is the car? I think the alarm system changed in the later models

This seems to be the alarm. My new S4 cab alarm kept going off by itself in the first week, until the sensitivity was lowered to 50%. I was suprised ( and pleased ) that it was not very loud.

It's a 51 plate, I'm just concerned that it's not very loud and one would expect something loud enough to attract some attention!!

Not sure if its faulty or what, will have to take it back. Also the AC unit is starting to smells abit.
