My 2.0 FSI A4 just had a top end rebuild and idles / drives fine, but the engine management light comes on and the error code reported is 16492 -
Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) (G71) or Barometric Pressure (BARO) (F96): Signal High.
There is no effect on performance & it clears with a reset and drives perfectly but then comes on again on engine restart - not always the first restart, maybe the second, third or fourth. The car drives fine even with the fault. Anyone got any experience of this - what is the cause and is there a risk running the car with the fault? (I've replaced the sensor and checked the wiring already and the fault remains - so it's not the sensor).
