Anyone had this problem?? will wd40 fix it or is it a bigger job to get right?? its wreckin my tits now to be honest

doesnt look like the easiest job in the world... might need a little help from mr haynes with this one... but thanks for the info guys... looks like a very common problem... a bit disappointed to be honest... i thought my a4 was indestructable

It's just time consuming, not difficult. You don't need to knock seven shades of sh!t out of it, just heat it up with a blowtorch to release the spindle:
