One of the cylinders was misfiring on hard acceleration but it ran fine 95% of the time so kept using the car for commute and then a few weeks later one of the cylinders packed in totally. Took it into a garage and they ran a diagnostics on it and it came back that the problem was the injector on cylinder 1. Audi said they only replace all 4 injectors at £1600, I only need one!! Have managed to find one available online at £180 but i cant get the injector out! does anyone know what tool is needed to remove it?

This is the injector that needs removing, can anyone help!?

Hi
its probably not the injector its the injector loom which is around £40 quid
they always if there going too give trouble do so on number 1 cylinder as the loom is unsupported here unlike the rest of the loom,
change this first i can nearly 99% say this is your problem not the injector .

I had a misfire on one of my 1.9 TDi's, it turned out to be the injector wiring harness too, its only about £40 and an easy change, I would be doing this first and see how you get on.. better than £180 or £1600..
