Hi,

Where are the side airbag sensors on an A4 avant? I'm assuming they're
in the pillars somewhere near the seatbelt mounts, or maybe up above the doors where the airbag lives, but I'd appreciate confirmation before I start removing trim...

Vagcom is saying

"01222 - Crash Sensor Side Airbag: Passenger Side (G180)
012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit"

All clues welcome!

Just checked my Bentley DVD (so based on LHD references).........

Thanks, that's exactly what I need.

Now to start removing trim and tracing wires...

I changed mine a few weeks go quite an easy job with the right tools. Mine had poor connections as the foam that covers it was damp causing corrosion of the wiring and connectors. I covered it in waxol when i put it back in shouldn't happen again.

Hi ! I have just had a repair done on my airbag system ( red airbag light on dash). Turns out it was a snapped wire in the cable under my passenger side seat and the cars ECU was'nt recognising the airbag system. Audi (Glasgow ) fixed it at a cost of £260 ( and that is with a discount ! ) Not cheap !!

Hi
in the avant i also found them in the rear seat edge back bolster area .
