I have a 2003 A4 Cabriolet, and have a problem with the drivers door lock.
When i get out of the car and close the door the door just rebounds back, as the door locking mechanism has shut. Under investigation when you open the door, the lock itself doesnt retract fully in the door to the open position, and it easily springs back into the locked position. To get it back i simply lift the outside door handle and flick the lock back into what should be it's normal position, and can shut the door normally.
The question is what pulls the door lock to the open position, and can this be played about with easily?
Any ideas anyone, hopefully by my vague description someone out there knows what i'm talking about, and i've described it okay!
