Symbol in Instrument Panel

I was driving yesterday when I saw this symbol in my instrument panel.
Can someone explain to me what does it mean?? What do I have to do?
My car is only 3 months old and has 4600Km

You need to check your oil level, it needs topping up.

Hi again,
I've been told by a main stealer mechanic, that you can expect a new engine to use upto 1 litre every 600 miles. Anymore than that, and I'd have a chat to your main dealer about it.

If you're not checking your oil then I'd guess you haven't bothered with your tyres either. I'd recommend tyres at least weekly and oil at leat monthly.

Is it just me or is it v v difficult to read the oil level from the dipstick (I have A4 2.4V6)?
