How to remove my multitronic gearlever surround
I've been asking for advice on how to remove scratches from the aluminium gear selector surround on my multitronic and have been told to polish it out of the car in order to make a decent job of it.
Anyone know how this can be removed? I've looked at the parts diagrams and can see how the wood trim comes off but have no idea if / how the actual aluminium part comes away.
Photo of scratched surround follows, (you'll see why I want to sort it out):
Mines worse than yours so I hope a wise soul lets us know how to do it!!!
