    SM,
Car looks tight. Did you convert both dipped and main beams?
Was there any drilling of holes cos I need to get mine done soon?

V6 Quatt did the job for me, but no drilling was needed. Everything is so tightly packed in there you can just slot the (what I 'assume' are some kind of) transformer/inverter boxes into a space and they won't budge.

Only the dipped beam done for now, not too fussed about the main beam but tempted to give the fogs a bash now I've seen how good these look. It will keep everything matching if I decide to cruise about with the fogs (aka 'poser lights') on, lol.

It's not really feasible to install HID's into main beams as you will lose the ability to flash your headlights

The transformers/inverter things are called Ballasts

They looks good tho, lovin' the 4300k colour!

Very good point Sir. From my little video you can see that they take a bit or warming up; would be no good for a quick "thank you" flash. And if they were the gesture would probably be burnt into their retina for the rest of their life, lol.

    Good point.

I know on some cars like BMW or SAAB the Xenons are used for main beam flash.

Cheers. I've got big plans for mine and I was supposed to start buying bits in January but I moved house; rent is more, bills are more and I have an Ikea shopping list as long as my arm that I'm slowly ticking off each time pay day rolls around. And this all means the car has had to be put on hold... But at least I have a nice view.

Once I get some spare change in my pocket I want to sort out the paint work before I do anything else. Some kids decided to throw rocks over a fence a few months ago and left a fair few chips and little dents when they landed on my motor. Ba****ds! Plus I noticed she's had a fairly poor respray along the passenger side at some point and I'd like to get that all sorted out. Tints, exhaust and diverter valve will have to wait. Could get the black roof done while she's in the paint shop though, lol.

I'm designing my own bits at work. RS-a-like kit for the front, not sure on the back yet. S4 like door blades, and probably some hex grills just gotta work out the best way to make them. Gotta get hold of some 5 spoke alloys and something so I can listen to my ipod in there.

I've got an Alpine ipod head unit left over from my old car. The thing is amazing, shut your ipod away in the glove box and control everything from the headunit. Even has colour options for the lights so you can get it to match the Audi red. Did have it up for 120 in the classifieds, but it's yours for 100 + postage or collection welcome.

Classifides add for more info and pics...
