Bought this car a couple of weeks back, 1.8t Audi A4 2003, got it for a bargain price of £3.5k full leather interior and it's my new baby. Only just got a chance to give it a small wash and wax. The missus has been driving everywhere in it.

Picked it up looking like this. Sorry for the pixelisation, taken from Autotrader.

Tried correcting a little bit of the errors on the car but didn't have to time to fix them properly. Only used Scratch X on these applied by hand.

Anyone got any idea's on how to remove these any better?

A little bit of work on the tailpipes

Not bad considering they had never been cleaned since the car was bought. What the best metal polish around as I want to keep them looking shiney.

After a little wash and wax. Washed using Gold Class Shampoo and then waxed with some S100 Carnauba Paste Wax

but wondering if anyone has any tips on how to maximise this colour and remove some of those annoying swirl marks and hairline scratches.
I've only had a black C2 VTS which is easy to clean and wax. But this is being metallic I wanna make sure I get the best out of the paint colour.

For the exhaust use Autosol, it's quality stuff. To get the swirls out of the paintwork it's probably best to get a detailer to give it a once over. Have a look at detailingworld.com.

£3.5k is a good price, I'm assuming it's fairly high mileage?

it's done 90k but had a cambelt changed and serviced by a Audi/VW specialist. I'm sort of teaching myself detailing (on the mini in the background) so i'll be atempting the swirl removal just wondered if anyone on here knows any good products for our hard paint. Started using zymol and some s100 but looking into some meguiars or zaino.

Or Menzerna or Meguairs range.

At the moment, I'm swaying towards using Megs (#80 and #83 - yet to buy their new release stuff) Menzerna is proving to be a ****** to work.

Nice car :)
