Bought a set of Philips Silver Vision from Powerbulbs and fitted them today:

Did that to my B6 S4s and to my wifes' Skoda - just wish it was as easy to do on the B7.

It looks so much better with the "fried egg" look gone.

I am not 100% sure, but I think on the B7 it's the later models that come with the clear corner headlights, check out the below pics:

On a B6? Just take the lights out mate, if it took me 10 minutes a side I will be surprised! You don't even need to unplug the lights, just pull them forward enough to get to the indicator bulb at the side. Hope the following helps:

Yes, until a running change was introduced sometime in late '07 (ETKA gives the VIN number when the change happened) the B7 headlights had clear indicator bulbs and a nasty piece of orange plastic inside them, after that they used orange bulbs which can easily be changed to e.g. Philips Silver Vision ones.

Converting the older headlights means putting them in an oven to soften the glue, prising the two parts apart and levering out the piece of orange plastic, then hoping the two parts seal properly when you put them back together again.

Cant the plastic be broken up in place/through the bulb hole? Like the B5 US clear corner mod?

Basicly they drill and break the part up and remove it though the bulb hole with snipe nose pliers etc

That must be a US spec B6 in that article, I have never seen a B6 with indicator units like that over here. In the UK B6 you just change the bulb, as per this thread ......
