brake lights on in the morning :-(

Hi

I quite often find my brake lights on in the morning - particularly in cold weather. As a result the battery is draining.

Can the brake switch failing cause this? I can move the selector from Park->Drive when they're on so does the baulk depend on the switch too?

Due a service soon so a quick reply would be great.

when the same thing happen to mine it was the brake switch. the brake lights stayed on constantly, had to remove the fuse to turn them off. got the switch replaced, sorted it out.

Yeah as mrjheeta said its most likely the brake switch.

Switch was replaced today, pick up tomorrow.

All being well that will sort it.
