Had my Audi A4 MOT'd at the main dealer -

I have a baby seat in the back on one side, which is held in by the passenger side rear seat belt.......

I noted on the MOT paperwork that they had not touched the baby seat or checked that particular seat belt.....

Is this a normal thing, or in the event of an accident and the baby seat was not refitted correctly that the garage do not want to be held liable....

Just curious loike.....as this is the 1st time I have had my car MOT'd with a baby seat in the back fitted...

Perhaps they aren't allowed to touch it if the baby seat is fitted? As you say if the seat failed in some way after the MOT they'd end up liable as they'd have been the last person to touch it... They're also not allowed to remove any trim or fixtures during the test when checking for corrosion and things. So if your sills are rotten but they're covered with a plastic side skirt so its not visible, they cant touch it and it gets a pass.

or perhaps they were just being lazy?
