Where Do I Get?

Hi where do you get the chrome window surrounds cheap for a A4 2002?

These cost a fortune for what they are. Anyone know a website or somewhere even if there 2nd hand to get them?

Also what about the S line badges? Best I can find the grill badge is for £15.

Its too much of a Job to change mate, Can be done but will set you back abit. Do a Forum search, you'll see.
I thought about it when i first got mine and the labour was touching £700 alone. Apparently its not as easy as you'd think.Doors have to be stripped and its a task with the rear quarter window too.
Glad I didnt now though because I prefer the black on mine now that Ive gone a little stealth!

Depending on the colour of your car i think they look abit tacky, i have a black A4 and am so glad mine doesn't have them.

Originally I seen a red one with the ally mirror covers and window surrounds and it looked nice but like Paul said, can look a little tacky......not as tacky as my old surrounds though

My car is dolphin Grey Metallic. I think it would look quite classy on mine. It makes them look like a newer car I suppose. Think thats why I wanted them.

They cost about £150 from Audi retail. Im handy with the old tools (Handy Andy) so I think I could do it. But I will debate it if its a lot of work.

Also. Went to get my fibreglass rear spoiler fitted today. It was no where near. It never sat flat on the boot and it needed building up in some parts and flatting in others. What a mess on!!
And he scrathed the boot lid to hell where he was placing the spoiler. Suppose I have to fit the damn thing now to cover the scratches!

It should look nice thats the only consellation.

£150 for the proper Trim???? You sure they quoted you on the right stuff or is is just a stick on solution???

Its a A4 1.8T Sport Sallon 2002.

Nice Car. Same colour as mine so I now know they look nice on that car.

There the trims on that pick. Yes the price was correct. Dont know when I will get them Im alittle skint at the moment with getting the car and christmas approaching and stuff.

Looks good on Dolphin Grey as I have them on mine but as has been said, some colours don't suit it.

I prefer the dark and moody look tbh. Currently painting my wheels anthracite, and the next task after that will be to paint the chrome grille surround to match the rims!

But each to their own!

They were probably the best VFM option I had on the car, £130! IIRC

The thing you have to understand is that you can't just clip new chrome on! The poser mouldings on the doors are bolted to the frames and will need a door strip. The chrome around the quarter windows is encapsulated and will mean new quarter lights. So as said not a cheap or fast job at all

As for the S-Line badges the were only fitted to the rear door mouldings not the grille. There was a guy on here doing them for about £11.50 each

Wonder what the cost of that would be then. So you need the chrome which is quoted at £150 ish and other bits? I thought you would pull it off quite easy and then simply push in the new chrome plated version. I wouldnt have thought you would need to get some strips and clip it all together. I was under the impression that the parts I was getting quoted for where the direct replacement to the rubber thats on the car not just a chrome shell. Will have to give them a call sometime and check with them.
