alarm beep

i have set the alarm to beep aswell as flash on setting with vagcom, i am only getting a beep on setting and not on unsetting the alarm, can any one help?

As far as I'm aware that's what it's supposed to do - it's the same for mine anyway...

i knew the a3's did it on lock and unlock so i thought ours might aswell.

You need VagCom (or similar) which can be found at ross-tech.com. Depending on what car you have and its age the shareware version can do this - then you only need to spend ~£15 on a suitable lead. If your car is newer it will cost significantly more. Give us some more info and we can take it from there.
