Gear box question

My gear leaver has stopped returning to the centre of the gate when you take it of gear, any idea why?

maybe the nylon ball and socket is dry or tight mate, try some oil like 3in1 or similar and with the boot pulled up, drip it into the white plastic ball joint in the centre of the shaft and on the side rails too since your in there - and hopefully that should sort it, I had this prob on the Alfa TDi and that cured it

Took up the sleave and it was full bits, so cleaned it off put some lube on and feels much better thanks.

ah no probs!

The foam deadener probably started to break up, I threw mine in the boot when i did the quickshift

Is it easy to get access? May I ask how you did it Niknak?

You just prise up the leather gaiter (it's just clipped in) and it's all there.

As Andymac says there are 4 clips at either corner that clip out, just make sure you don't lose any clips.
