whats missing from my engine bay

Been looking around the car and saw this in the engine bay, does anyone know what it is for, i hate not knowing what things are for.

My 3.0L V6 has an "Electric Vacuum Pump for the Brake Servo" (Part no. 8E0 927 317) installed in this cradle!

Just called my local Audi dealer and ordered the parts.....
Batt Cover - 4.40
Main Cover - 11.00
Main Engine Cover - 49.00
(All prices plus VAT)

Cost me a bit - all down to lazy mechanics

Had a look, but could not find the parts.... I want to nip to my local dealer and talk to them about getting it in for a service so will kill two birds....

I think i am going to get the arm rest off vagparts though, and i have put it into my fav! Thanks for the site!

I should have added that it's always best to ring them. The site doesn't have much of their stock on it. They are very busy but do always get back to you.
