a4 avant value

hi chaps, new boy here. got a mk4 golf turbo and mk2 golf with tt225 motor running 270hp. thinking about buying my dads company car from him. 51 a4 avant td130, sports suspension, met grey, climate,cd etc. will have done about 80k miles. whats it worth, and anything nasty to look for?

what can this be successfully chipped to, 180hp and 250+lbs/ft?

Nice motor if you can get it!

Go to www.parkers.co.uk and do a search there on it. It will give you a pretty good idea of it's worth and adjust the value for mileage/paint and extras. I'd say get it if you can afford it (and really want it!). You won't lose money on it and it'll last for years. (And being in the family already, you shouldn't get $crewed by the seller!)

There are a couple about on 51 or 02 plates with around 50k on them for the £12-13k mark with dealers, but I bet your dad has a residual of around £6 or £7k, with a dealer offering around £9k for that milage.

Ring your local Audi dealer with the car reg and ask them to underwrite it for you, this will give a you a fair figure.
