Hi All,

my car blows constant cold from the left side of the vents, despite raising the temp on climate control. Anyone have any ideas as to what this could be. This is what vag com says:

01809 - Actuating Motor for Temperature Flap: Left (V158)
41-00 - Blocked or No Voltage

Anyone know how to go about repairing the above or what it actually does.

Please help anyone!:angrymod:

Its the motor that operates a flap to mix cold and hot air to achieve the desired temperature......lol.....its all in the code description!

It says the left temperature flap motor is jammed or has no power going to it...you would need to dig out maybe the glovebox / centre console / dash maybe even to get to it, and it might be simply attached with a couple of small bolts or screws and a rod to operate the flap. The rod could be off or broken, the flap jammed or the motor faulty, see the fusebox lid to see if the left side has seperate fusing from the right, it could be a fuse, or even a loose connector plug.

If you are a complete noob with a spanner mate, you should maybe think about a trip to a garage, cos it can get messy stripping out the front interior for this kind of thing in a modern car.
