A wee flap above the mirror than flips down, obviously works as a little sun visor for that annoying gap above your rearview mirror, BUT it has a little sensor on it that faces outward when its flipped down, whats that for?

hmmm, cheers j7uss. It may be a mic, its like a little countersunk hole with a bit of writing embossed around it, will try to put a pic up.
Its impossible to read with out lying upside down (LOL) or climbing on the bonnet, cos the tinted top of the screen makes it too dark to see from the outside.
Has anyone also noticed that the dash lights come on by themselves in certain light, but if you shade the clocks with your hand, they dim out?! Surely they are working backwards!

Mine has the little countersunk hole, but no sensor, just the hole 
No writing around it either, just the part number (?) embossed in the plastic.
