I have just purchased a 2005 3.0 quattro cab, black on black.
The reason for buying the AWD version is for our wonderfully pleasant northeastern Canadian winters and all the inherent benefits associated with quattro in trying to survive same.
I would also like to do a bit of tuning upgrading and was wondering if anyone had any experience or recommendations regarding a cat-back exhaust and cold air induction upgrades. I have been told that the Milltek exhaust is quite loud. This upgrade would have to pass the wife test, since the car will be in her hands most of the time.
It has also been said that the 3.0L V6 is a bit tough on gas and has relatively under-whelming performance. Clearly it would be foolish to even think about tracking the car but would like to make the engine breath a bit more easily and, if possible, realize a bit more of the engines' potential, along with a sound level that would suggest something a little more muscular than stock.
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
