Hi fellas

The missus's tdi has just had it's 50k service, and the guy (a local garage not Audi) said that cambelts are recommended to be changed at 56k miles?

Surely it would coincide with a 50 or 60k service ??

Anyone know for sure ?

Cheers !!

4 years or 60k, but to be honest, I'd get it changed sooner rather than later. I'd kick myself if the cambelt went within a few thousand miles of the interval

Oh and get the serpentine belt (and aircon belt if < 2003) and water pump done at the same time.

Oh great, thanks for that ?!

The bill's just gone up by a fair bit then ?!!!

Better to spend a few quid on parts than need to have the whole front of the car ripped apart a year later though at much the same labour rate!

I think the water pump and belts will only add on about £50 - £60 quid, better safe than sorry.
