RS4 9spk Rims Refurbishment?

I recently purchased my A4 cab with the RS4 9 spoke Rims in a pretty poor condition. But I didn't let this put me off buying it as I thought I would have to worry about kerbing them myself!

But I now have the oppertunity to have them refurbished while its in the bodyshop. Is there anything that I should be aware of when I have them done as I have no experience of these independant wheel refurbishment business?

Just be careful what wheel cleaning solutions you use as the laquer can be easily peeled of you use too strong a solution!!
