haha yes i had the same issue and i wrote it in previous section. it sounds diesel then its alrigt isnt it? its something to do with the belt something like that its ok just live with it
As has been posted before, it's due to oil pressure in the hydraulic tappets. It takes a couple of seconds to get them up to pressure before they close up the gaps correctly. It should only happen after the car has sat for a while so if it's happening more frequenty or after short stops then it may be worth looking at a higher viscosity oil or going as far as getting the tapets replaced but I'm sure that would be £££
....or it could be the common Cam chain tensioner, it happens with mine from cold starts sometimes, always has, lasts for a second or two. Apparently alot of the Audi's do it.
